
Hao-Tien Cheng
Hao-Tien Cheng received his B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Electronics Engineering at National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan, supervised by Prof. Chao-Hsin Wu in the area of compound semiconductor devices, including semiconductor lasers and bipolar junction transistors. His research interests also include optical communications, optoelectronic integration, optoelectronic integrated circuits, microwave devices, and reliability research for semiconductor devices. He is the recipient of the TSMC-NTU Joint Research Center scholarship and the Research Promotion Program for Direct-Entry Doctoral Degree Program Students from the Higher Education SPROUT Project. Mr. Cheng is a member of IEEE, IEEE Photonics Society, IEEE Electron Devices Society, Optica, and SPIE.

Chee-Keong Yee
YEE received his B.S. (2017) and M.S. (2020) in Department of Photonics from National Cheng Kung University. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics at National Taiwan University. His current research focuses on the DFB laser for LIDAR application..

Mukul Kumar
Mukul received his M. Tech (2019) with Distinction and B. Tech (2015) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Dhanbad (India) and Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna (India) respectively. He did internship at National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan under Taiwan Experience Education Programs fellowship funded by Ministry of Education (MoE), Taiwan. He is currently pursuing his Ph. D in GIPO at National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan. His current research interest includes Light-Emitting Transistors (LETs), Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors (HBTs), Transistor Lasers (TLs) and high-speed integrated circuits. He is the recipient of a “National Taiwan University International Graduate Student Scholarship”..

Yun-Cheng Yang
Yun-Cheng Yang received his B.S degree from the Department of Optoelectronics and Photonics Technology, Feng Chia University, Taichung City, Taiwan. He is currently working toward his M.S. degree with the Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. His current research interests include high-speed VCSELs, semiconductor lasers, optical interconnect, and optical communication systems.

Te-Hua Liu
Te-Hua received a bachelor's degree in engineering from National Dong Hwa University (Hualien, Taiwan) and was awarded the alumni award as the top-ranked student in the university. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the National Taiwan University in the Graduate School of Advanced Technology (GSAT). His research interests include distributed feedback laser, simulation and optimization of laser structure, short pulse operation, optical communication, and silicon photonics platforms. Te-Hua is also a student member of SPIE and IEEE photonic society and serves as a student representative for the college.

Yu-Hsuan Lu

Sung-Pu Yang
Sung-Pu Yang received the B.S. degree from Department of Electrical Engineering and the M.S. degree from Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2019 and 2022, respectively. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. degree in Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, under the direction of Prof. Chao-Hsin Wu. His current research interests include heterojunction bipolar transistors, photonic integrated circuits and Si photonics for optical interconnects. Sung-Pu is also a Member of IEEE Photonic society.

Kung-An Lin
Kung-An Lin served as the Azurewave camera R&D department director since 2019. In 2017, served as the director of the Azurewave camera Shanghai factory. In 2012, served as the R&D manager of the Lite-On laptop and Portable Image Device camera department. In 2007, worked as a senior engineer for the Apple iPhone camera product in the R&D department of Foxconn. He received a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics(GIPO) at National Taiwan University in 2006 and is currently studying in the doctoral optoelectronic engineering program in GIPO at National Taiwan University, developing VCSEL heterogeneous material stacked structure and related 3D sensing applications.

Chi-En Chen
Chi-En Chen is currently working towards a Ph.D., dedicated to single photon avalanche diode structure design and signal measurement analysis.

Lucas

Hong-Shyang Wu
HSWu received his B.S. in Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering (BSE) and Electronic Engineering (EE) from National Taiwan University. And his M.S. in Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics (GIPO) & MBA from National Taiwan University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in GIPO at National Taiwan University. He was previously on the faculty of HTC hardware design R&D and now work at TSMC MtM Power IC R&D. His research interests include fabrication and characterization of power device, device structure innovation, BCD process integration, power device reliability improvement, TCAD simulation, big data modeling and data mining.
